I was recently contacted by Fashion World and asked if I would like to review some items from Claire Richards new Spring Summer 2014 range so I had a peruse of the fabulous new collection and here is what I chose.

I love the detailing on the cardigan

I decided to try the Print Prom Dress and fine gauge cardigan as when I looked through the new collection my eye was drawn straight to the dress and the cardigan is the perfect addition.
I am a huge fan of the pin up look that is around at the moment but had yet to actually own a dress in this style. It has a crossover sweetheart neckline which I love although because I have a large bust I may need to pop a stitch in it to stop my bra from peeking out! If I had sized up this may have given more coverage to my bra but then I would lose the definition around my waist where the dress nips in rather nicely. The mesh sleeves are a nice touch and great if you prefer to keep the top of your arms covered, (as I know some women do)  and although you can see my bra straps through the mesh this doesn't bother me. The dress is lined and has two layers of netting underneath so you get a lovely full skirt which just makes me want to twirl round and go jiving!!
The fabric is non-stretch so if you are in between sizes you may want to consider sizing up depending on the kind of fit you are after and it fastens with a zip to one side.
In terms of length the dress just covers my knees (I am 5'4") so it would still be a good length for taller ladies.
The cardigan is beautiful (its no secret that I am fan of cardigans!!) it is quite stretchy and the length on me is perfect as it hits just around my waist. It fastens with pop studs and over each stud is a very cute bow which makes it slightly more dressy.
For me the whole outfit reminds me of the old photographs taken in the 1950's of my mom and her family in these types of dresses and as a tribute to my late Nanny I styled the outfit as she did with the cardigan draped on my shoulders!
If you are off to a wedding or garden party this summer then I would recommend this dress as one to consider- does anyone have a wedding I can come to?!!!
All I need now is for the weather to be a bit warmer (I nearly froze to death doing the pictures- that is how dedicated I am!!) and I shall be twirling around in this dress!
