New 6 and 5 day Circuit Races in South Africa have just been announced. Taking place in the Johannesburg area these end of year events will take place along with the Year to Year 24 hour which recently saw its inaugural edition. Venue details are being finalised and it looks like the course will be close to an athletics stadium. Course is decribed as 80% tar, 20% grass. The change in venue from the last 6 day race is due to the condition of the course which deteriorated seriously after a fair amount of rain.
The 6 Day Circuit Race starts 12:00pm 26/12/2012 and finishes 12:00pm 01/01/2013 and the 5 day starts a day later on the 37th and finishes at the same time along with the 24 hour event.
