We’re back with a slew of records we’re excited about! Au Revoir Simone drop their fourth full-length this week, their first record since 2009, staying mainly within the same delicious synth-pop territory as before. Another heavy hitter in the realm of synth-pop, Brothertiger, are dropping their sophomore record tomorrow, drenched in electronic 80s dance floor fare. And then, within that same sonic space, lies one of our recent favorites, Chvrches, who set the indie music world on fire within the past year with their string of incredible singles and electric performances. Now for their debut — take cover!

Frankie Rose (formerly of Dum Dum Girls, Crystal Stilts, and Vivian Girls) releases her hazy guitar pop follow-up this week. Dream pop icons, Mazzy Star, release their first record after 17 years, and it’s moody and absolutely gorgeous. Also from California, but at the start of his music career, is 18 year-old Andrew St. James, who’s presenting his debut folk rock album that you’re going to adore.

Philadelphia-based chamber poppers, Buried Beds, are back with their third full-length record, featuring some stellar guest collaborators and a lush, fully-rounded whimsical sound. Deer Tick roll back around with their fifth LP in six years in what many critics are hailing as both their darkest and most ambitious record to date. All I know is I’ve had “The Rock” on repeat for days and days.

There’s this Canadian rapper named Drake, who’s releasing his third full-length this week, which has been said to be “tougher,” “more mature” and signature-vibey enough to make fans swoon their faces off. Swedish pop duo Icona Pop finally release their debut this week to frenzied, glittery, glammed-up fans. They’re big for a reason — their dance jams refuse to leave your skull once inside. Another mainstream heavy-hitter, Kings of Leon, are back with their sixth record, which has been met with mixed reviews. Take a listen and see what you think.

American rockers Ha Ha Tonka are here with their fourth excellent full-length made up of some of the sweetest melancholy jams you’ll hear this year. Danish, electro-pop singer-songwriter, Oh Land, drops her third this week on Dave Sitek’s Federal Prism. I’m still not over the forever killer “Renaissance Girls” — stoked to hear this entire record. NYC’s art pop masterminds, Rubblebucket, are passing us a new EP with more eccentric, experimental magic music. I love this band.
