Christmas Wishlist

By Maddy1704 @unstitchedd
Christmas WishlistSo it's the second day of present related posts, but today we're moving onto me, since I can only be selfless for so long, y'know. I thought it would be fun to share with you all the things that I have been wishing for recently, in the hopes that it might inspire some of you with ideas of what to put on your wishlist and maybe also give some nosy family, I know you're reading, last minute ideas!
Firstly, the candles. The two pictured are from bath and bodyworks, which I think is probably the queen of candle stores. I really love their new packaging in the little mason jars but unfortunately they only do some of their scents in it, and the only one I liked the sound of was Twisted Peppermint. The other scent that I really loved the sound of was Warm Vanilla Sugar, described as the comforting scent of vanilla steeped in warming spices, mmmm. Unfortunately, they are pretty hard to get hold of here in the UK, so I have linked to some eBay sellers that sell them, but I think these would both be perfect christmassy scents!
Another thing that I love receiving as a gift is beautiful books, which both of the above are meant to be. The Rookie Yearbook 1 has been recommended to me several times in the past, and it sounds perfect as it is all about fashion and style, but with a little more substance and thought behind it relating to wider issues in the world. Something with a little less substance is Alexa Chung's new book IT, a very pretty little book that I'm sure would be great for flicking through.
And then makeup .... because do you honestly think I could make a whole wish list without including any? I seem to have predominantly focused on the lips this year as I have been loving experimenting with different colours lately, but have found myself almost completely without a color that is natural and subtle enough to wear for everyday. I'm sure you have heard about the Revlon Lip butters and I'm pretty sure that they would fit the bill perfectly. The colours I'm eyeing up at the moment are Pink Lemonade and Macaroon, pretty pink shades that would be perfect for a fuss free look.
Something else that I would really like to try is the whole Chubby stick trend, which I haven't managed to quite get on yet. Clinique were, of course, the first to bring them and their shade A Whole Lotta Honey looks really beautiful, and I recently found a slightly smaller brand, LAQA and Co. , whose offerings look equally as stunning. Finally, the more pigmented lustings come in the form of the new Urban Decay Lipsticks (in the shade Naked Revolution FYI) and for a more purse friendly option I really love the look of the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams, especially nude peach fuzz, which in addition to being a gorgeous color has the cutest name ever!
I'm pretty happy with my makeup collection at the moment, but one thing that I am still searching for is the perfect contour color. I have heard a lot about NYX's Taupe blush, and I'm almost sure that it is exactly what I am looking for; a cool toned brown that won't make me look too muddy, but just perfectly sculpted instead. Secondly on the makeup list is the new Bourjois Rice Powder, which I have heard off the blogosphere is an almost perfect dupe for the ambient lighting powders, which look incredible gorgeous, but way too expensive to even contemplate getting. Plus, the packaging is super cute! One last addition to the beauty list would have to be the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers, since mine are on the edge of falling apart, and I've heard that nothing can beat these beauties.
For nails, I think I have already bored you to death with my hunt for the perfect natural nail colour, and I'm hoping Essie's Fiji may do it. And then hair, I've struggled a lot recently with frizz and my fringe not lying right and I think that the Babyliss Big Hair may be the answer to my problems, it's a round brush with a blowdryer built in, designed to give you that perfect salon blow-dry every time that you wash your hair, miracle, I think so.
I'll finish up quick so I don't send you to sleep, but the final items are a Zara scarf, Flower Bomb Perfume and stacking rings, because I can just never have too many of them!
What are you wishing for this Christmas?
