We always had a live tree for Christmas when I was growing up. We would trek to a country tree farm and cut it down ourselves. Then they’d wrap it in orange netting, throw it on top of the car, and we’d head back to house excited to hang the lights and ornaments. We had cathedral ceilings and it seemed like every year, our trees got bigger and bigger and got closer and closer to the ceiling. It was so magical; my mom would hang the lights with perfection and we would hang the ornaments as a family. It was as if the house was instantly filled with the Christmas spirit, not only because of the beautifully decorated tree, but because of the smell. Frasier Fir always reminds me of Christmas and is the perfect Christmas scent!
Now that I have my own family, we have yet to get a live tree. My husband has been away at school or deployed for a lot of our marriage, and living in Georgia just makes it harder. No snow on the ground, no tree farms (that I know of), and honestly no time right now to take care of a live tree. Between the needles falling, watering it, keeping the kids from touching it.. I just don’t have the time and patience for that right now! So I bought our artificial Christmas tree on Black Friday one year and it’s worked out perfectly for us. The only problem? I miss the smell of a live tree. It may feel like Christmas in our house but it doesn’t smell like Christmas… until now!
Thymes has an entire Frasier Fir line for the holidays; soaps, candles, diffusers… anything you could possibly need to turn your house into a Christmas scented wonderland. Here are a few of the products I used for the perfect christmas scents and holiday decor:
Not only are the beautiful but they smell AMAZING. Thymes is known for creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind gifts, so they’re perfect for family, friends, gracious hosts, and more. They take pride in thoughtfully curating every product and infusing touches of charm to make them truly special and uniquely Thymes. They have always formulated fragrances with the utmost of care. Drawn from nature, their unique formulations are artfully crafted to create products that are skin-compatible, environmentally friendly, effective and a pleasure to use. They also opt for natural, high quality, plant-based ingredients instead of chemical ingredients whenever possible. So you know they have you and your family in mind with every step of their development and packaging process
I changed out the decor in my bathroom and I can’t even begin to explain how perfect it smells! I placed the sink set and diffuser in there and you would think you were out on the Christmas tree farm!
I use the Home Fragrance Mist in almost all of the rooms in the house, even when I have the candles burning. Overkill? No… perfection.
It’s so much fun decorating for Christmas and brings back so many wonderful memories from my childhood. Maybe we’ll get a live tree at some point down the road but for now, I’m totally fine with it just smelling like one
