I love Christmas markets.
Leaving in Paris has so many positive benefits. We don't have one Christmas market, but five.
How amazing is that?
Paris is offering many free activities for those who want to enjoy the holiday festivities.
Last Sunday we decided to go and have a hot cider at Christmas market in Trocadero. For those who love to skate, there is also an ice rink facing the Eiffel Tower.
As you can see, the Christmas Village is definitely worth the visit. The Christmas market stalls sell everything from sausages, salami, nutella crepes, churros (sweet, crispy, fried dough), hot cider and of course my favorite ''mulled wine''. The aroma of hot spiced wine while shopping puts you in the wright festive mood.
I was nicely surprised to see my country represented at one of the stalls.
''Go on Slovakia'' :-)
If you are in Paris, visit Le Village de Noel du Trocadero and taste our traditional specialities like sauerkraut and mushrooms soup, grilled sausages and home-made pastries. Christmas stall is full of typical Slovak goods, so you can bring home unique craftsmen products that are sold on the market.
Don't forget to try a shot of homemade slivovica (plum brandy).
Visit one of Paris's many Christmas markets for a scenic winter stroll and try some traditional food.
