Christmas in Chicago: 3 Dead, 14 Wounded in Weekend Shootings

Even the Christmas holiday and strict gun control laws couldn’t stop the criminals in Chicago. Three men were killed and at least 14 other people have been wounded in shootings during the holiday weekend.

MyFoxChicago reports that the latest homicide happened Christmas Day in Englewood on the South Side. Shots were fired at 11:36 a.m. Friday and police found 20-year-old Angelo Frazier with multiple gunshot wounds to the thigh. Frazier was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later.

About three hours earlier, a 22-year-old man was shot to death outside his Austin neighborhood home on the West Side. The man, Kylan D. Collier, was discovered unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the head about 8:30 a.m. on the stairs of the back porch of his home. The weekend’s first fatal shooting happened about 4:50 p.m. Thursday in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side.
