Chocolat & Fizz

A couple of weeks ago I met up with Katie to help her find the “perfect red”. Obviously Katie knew I’d be the best person to help her find her red lipstick to wear at her new job, Tommy Hilfiger, and so we met outside HN’s and had a looksie around Mac. After trying various colours on the pads of our fingers (the best place to test lipstick as that is the closest color to your natural lip colour, FYI) we found the one! Always a momentous occasion when one finds their perfect red. However, this was only a tiny part of our meet up because the main reason (aside from a catch up) was to go to the newly opened Hotel Chocolat Cocoa Cafe at JL. Recently I have been really impressed by John Lewis and how much it has changed and transformed into quite the fashionable store. Having grown up knowing Peter Jones on Sloane Sq (I was so confused when we moved to Edinburgh and found this very similar looking place, but saw it was called “John Lewis”), it has always been around but never somewhere I would think to go and shop at first.
