Chilli Parotta is a regional variation of Kothu Parotta and is a popular street food in Tamil Nadu. This simply, delicious and spicy Chilli Parotta is made using capsicum, parotta pieces are coated with a batter and deep-fried until crispy.

How to make Chilli Parotta

Heat little oil in a pan over medium flame.

Saute the onions, green chillies, capsicums, ginger and garlic for a minute.

Add 1/2 cup of corn flour, salt, food colour to maida.

Add enough water and mix well to a dosa batter consistency.

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium.

Add the chopped parathas to the batter and fry in hot oil.

Heat little oil in a pan over medium flame.

Add the onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic.

Add red chilli powder, fried parottas and mix well.

Add little water to the remaining corn flour and add to the pan.

Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

Add the capsicums and remove after a minute.

Serve with onion raita or curd pachadi or as it is.
