Chilli Parotta

Chilli Parotta is a regional variation of Kothu Parotta and is a popular street food in Tamil Nadu. This simply, delicious and spicy Chilli Parotta is made using capsicum, parotta pieces are coated with a batter and deep-fried until crispy.

How to make Chilli Parotta

  • Heat little oil in a pan over medium flame.

  • Saute the onions, green chillies, capsicums, ginger and garlic for a minute.

  • Add 1/2 cup of corn flour, salt, food colour to maida.

  • Add enough water and mix well to a dosa batter consistency.

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium.

  • Add the chopped parathas to the batter and fry in hot oil.

  • Heat little oil in a pan over medium flame.

  • Add the onions, green chillies, ginger and garlic.

  • Add red chilli powder, fried parottas and mix well.

  • Add little water to the remaining corn flour and add to the pan.

  • Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

  • Add the capsicums and remove after a minute.

  • Serve with onion raita or curd pachadi or as it is.
