With Avrie having been there one other time back in March, it was super fun bringing her back to see what she took a new interest in AND how she playing differently with everything being 6 months older! She was still REALLY into the star display in the Dora room.
Something new that she really seemed to enjoy, was the Dora veterinary's station.She loved using the stethoscope to check all the animals and covering them with a blanket.
The morning was spent with a ton of imaginary & creative play time...
reading books, break time/snack time...

learning and discovering some fun & new activities that we can recreate at home (painting with water)!
After a fun photobooth break, we all decided that lunch time was quickly approaching- for everyone. It was a warm & sunny day so we decided to walk over to Cosetta's or pizza! This is a favorite spot of Mom, Jamie and I. The remodel is awesome and we had a great lunch enjoying HUGE slices of pizza, tasty pasta, yummmm!
[green pepper, black olive & onion] I should also note that on this day (after lunch) Avrie gave me a sign that we are good to go in working on her potty training. She asked to the use the potty and she ended up going #1 & #2. This was HUGE to have happened while out and about and in public. I did a little "Mommy's so proud dance" & rewarded her success with many high fives, hugs and of course a little dessert!! ;)
[this was a rockin' little packet pick up event] THEN after lunch we walked to the river center so that we could pick up Jamie's "Women Rock" runner's packet & our Monster Dash Packets. On the way back to the car, we popped back into Cosetta's Pastry shop for fresh Cannolis to go.
We had such a fun afternoon with Grandma Ertle We always cherish quality time with Grandma Ertle. Some of my very best memories of being a kid are with my grandparents. To me a strong relationship with Grandma & Grandpa is SO SUPER important! Avrie is so lucky to have so many Grandparents (x5) plus her Great Grandparents GG & papa Hank in her life!
