Cherry Blossom Season in D.C.

I have always been amused with my own social media presence for almost 15 years. While I can be pretty outgoing with the right company, I’m actually a private person. I don’t feel particularly comfortable sharing all and sundry about me and I’m not too concerned with looking at what others are posting either. I somewhat exist in my own bubble, where I let-in people occasionally, if we have common interests or amicable vibes.  But I can honestly say that even if someone has read all of 2000 something posts on this blog, they do not truly know me! I can say that with conviction only because I have kept ninety percent of my life offline. I have always been ambivalent about my everyday life, and people I meet or handout with. I have tried to only shared my thoughts and views about ideas than about particular people.
So whenever someone tells me they are not on social media because they are private people, I cannot help but self-reflect and wonder how might they see me and if their analysis would be accurate at all? Nonetheless, truth of the matter is that social media is an inescapable part of life – avoiding it renders one out of the loop. Having an online presence lets you stay connected with your friends and colleagues and if you are lucky then with some like-minded people too. Thoughts?
