Chelsea Manning on Caitlyn: She’s the Grinch Who Stole the Trans Movement

Chelsea Manning must have been having a bad Christmas Eve. He/she unloaded on Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner over Christmas Eve on Twitter.

Daily Mail reports that Manning wrote; ‘In 2015 @CaitlynJenner was the Grinch who stole (& sold out) the trans movement. All I want 4 Xmas is Universal Trans Lib.’ The tweet immediately prompted much debate on Manning’s feed, with his/her followers pointing out the many offenses they believe Caitlyn has committed over the past year.

Poor Bruce/Caitlyn just can win over the social justice warriors (SJWs). Bruce/Caitlyn has made many comments over the past few months that were very much at odds with his/her desire to be the public face of the transgender movement.

Why so mad bro?

Bruce/Catilym told Ellen DeGeneres he/she did not support gay marriage and then followed that up by revealing to Matt Lauer that he/she did not find a Halloween costume that trivialized her landmark Vanity Fair cover as offensive.

The worst offense that Bruce/Caitlyn committed? His/her interview earlier this month with Time after he/she was revealed as one of the nominees for their prestigious Person of the Year honor. Bruce/Caitlyn told the magazine that the more a transgender person looks like a member of their sex, the more it puts others at ease, a comment for which she provided no concrete evidence or research other than her own opinion. ‘If you look like a man in a dress, it makes people uncomfortable,’ said Caitlyn.

Because the truth hurts, that comment was perhaps most painful to the many members of the transgender community who do want to look more like their sex but do not have the millions of dollars that Caitlyn does to make that. There are also many members of the transgender community who chose not to physically transition, a decision that does not change or impact their gender identity.

you don't say

The other offense Bruce/Caitlyn made? Repeatedly saying he/she was not a ‘spokesperson’ for the trans community. Transgenders are up in arms about this because it seems somewhat questionable coming from the man/woman who has his/her own reality show, I Am Cait, which is all about his/her new life as a transgender woman. Caitlyn later said about her comment; ‘I think I caused a lot of hurt with this comment, and I’m truly sorry.’

Poor Bruce/Caitlyn. Seems you can’t win over the SJWs when you don’t follow the script.
