I’m thinking ahead to the weekend already and today I want to share with you one of my absolute favorite cocktails of all time. There’s no shaking or stirring involved in this very basic cocktail, just combining a couple of ingredients to create the sweetest (some might say sickly) cocktail that is dangerously easy to drink.
Pour 1 shot of amaretto liqueur and 1/2 a shot of cherry syrup (the stuff in the jar with your cocktail cherries!) over ice in a short tumbler then top up with cola. Or if you’re feeling adventurous, you could even use Dr Pepper instead of coke – what’s the worst that could happen?
I’ve got a big weekend of parties and pub nights coming up so I’ll be sipping a few of these cocktails on Saturday, I’m sure.
