Check out St. Lucia’s New Video for ‘elevate (live in California)’ [video]

Live shows are undoubtedly the best way to experience music, however, videos of live shows are most definitely the opposite. Static-filled noise and shaky smart phones are no substitute for the awesomeness that comes with seeing a band live. Although I wouldn’t say this new video by St. Lucia is just as good as the actual thing, it comes a whole lot closer. The Brooklyn-based electro-pop outfit premiered this new video for their single, “Elevate”, that features clips from their headline tour earlier this year. The video showcases the groups high energy live set and brings you closer to what it’s like to actually see them in person. “We’re very proud of our live show, but it’s something that’s not that well-documented,” says St. Lucia’s Jean-Philip Grobler. “So we wanted to share what we do on stage with people who haven’t seen us yet.” This summer, the group will be festival-hopping with appearances in Cape Town and Milwaukee’s upcoming Summerfest. If you’re skipping out on some festivals this summer, this video will definitely give you a great taste of what you’ll be missing.
