Two of the Cheap Chick’s favorite things, books and BBQ come together today with the Desk Set as they host their regular Books-B-Qs event to benefit different literary groups. The event is co-sponsored by Pete’s Candy Store and includes drink specials and raffle prizes, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Pete’s Candy Store, 709 Lorimer St., Williamsburg, $10 gets you food and acts as a donation to Urban Librarians Unite!
