CfP: Annual Meeting of the Philosophy of Physics Working Group of the German Physical Society
The Working Group “Philosophy of Physics” (AGPhil) of the German Physical Society (DPG) invites submissions for its Annual Meeting, which will take place at the University of Jena from February 25 to March 1, 2013.
The conference is an excellent opportunity for philosophers of physics to present their work both to their direct peers, and to physicists working on related issues. For in parallel to the spring meeting of the philosophy of physics group other DPG-sections hold their annual meetings; in particular the sections for history of physics, gravitation and relativity theory, plasma physics, and mathematical foundations of physics, among others. During the 2011 meeting in Berlin, the talks of the working group “philosophy of physics” attracted between 50 and 100 people each, about half of which were physicists.
If you would like to present a paper, please submit an abstract of about 200 words by December 15, 2012, using the online-form on https://www.dpg-tagung.de/j13/submission.html?language=en
We look forward to seeing you in Jena!
Best regards,
Meinard Kuhlmann, Dennis Lehmkuhl and Wolfgang Pietsch
