Contributed Talks
We invite submissions of both a short abstract (max. 100 words) and an extended abstract (1000 words) through our automatic submission system by 1 February, 2013. To submit, please prepare your abstracts for blind review, and save your extended abstract as a PDF file. Then follow the link to our Conference System.
When logged in, go to the new submission page. Include your 100 words abstract and upload the PDF file of your extended abstract. You will be able to revise your submission any number of times before the deadline (1 February, 2013). Please feel free to contact the organizers with any questions you may have.
The conference language is English.
Best Graduate Paper Award
Graduate students may participate in the Best Graduate Paper Competition. The author of the best paper will be sponsored with a waiver of the conference fee and up to € 500 of travel costs (upon submission of original receipts). Students may participate in the competition by stating so in the submission remarks and by attaching the full paper and an academic CV (all in the same PDF file with the extended abstract). Please refrain from sending additional material via email.
Symposia
Symposia may be on any topic in the philosophy or foundations of physics. Proposals which combine contributions from philosophers with those from historians of physics and physicists are most welcome.
Symposia should involve several presenters, typically 4-5, organized around a topic of interest. A selection of symposia will be accepted for presentation at the meeting.
Proposals must include sufficient supporting material to permit the program committee to evaluate the quality and interest of the symposium.
Proposals for symposia should include:
- The title of the proposed symposium
- A short descriptive summary of the proposal (100-200 words)
- A description of the topic and a justification of its current importance to the discipline (up to 500 words)
- Titles and abstracts (up to 250 words) of all papers
- A list of participants and either an abbreviated curriculum vitae or short biographical description (not to exceed 1 page) for each participant
- Institutional affiliation and e-mail addresses for all participants
- Full contact information for the organizer (who may or may not be a proposed speaker), to be used for communication with the Program Committee
