The CerebralMix 2015-12-06: Poetry Series Episode 18 is an interesting episode in that it is fascinated with detah. There are songs and poems that have death as their primary or secondary subjects sprinkled throughout this show.
Given that we are in the middle of winter in this part of the world death is an appropriate topic. Symbolically, linking the seasons of winter with death has been a long-standing theme of many writers and artists through the centuries.
There is also a small Christmas related surprise hidden in plain sight in this episode. It is, however, an unintentional reference to the holiday. And, I believe it is the only reference to it throughout the remaining CerebralMix shows for this year. (That is, unless I decide to get sappy and put some holiday music in the final show, which I haven’t finished yet.)
