CerebralMix 2015-08-02: Wonderful Wizard of Oz Ep 8 is the conclusion of our journey to the land of Oz.

This show is a bit different for a couple of reasons. First, I had to work around the brevity of the text in this show. This impacted the tracks that were selected. So the relationship between the narrative and the music selected isn’t the same as it is in other episodes of this series.

Also, for the first time, I chose to include a complete set of credits for the reading of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz during the closing of the show. I would like to thank each and every person that put their hard work into creating this edition of the L. Frank Baum classic. It’s really an excellent reading, and I enjoyed featuring it on The CerebralMix immensely.

So normally, I would announce what the next series is. However, I don’t have it completely worked out at this point. I know it’s going to be, kind of, but I haven’t selected the actual material that were going to work with as of this writing (a full week before the next show will air). I can say this: the format is going to be a little different. The readings are going to be interspersed throughout the main part of the show, instead of just at the top of each hour. Basically,taking the experiment in exploring narrative and sound relationships in a bit of a different direction…
