So after the long and intense series of Ulysses, we are taking a break and turning to the classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. This is a book that many of us have either read, or seen one (or more) of the movie adaptations.
My hope is that with this series you will be able to enjoy the reading from the book, and maybe get a bit of a different perspective on the story through the music that accompanies the readings. This is one of the things that I have sought to do with this show: take the familiar and make it unfamiliar. Somehow transform what you know in a way that makes it different. It may not always be a good way of hearing things that you know, but it is a different way. I am purposefully leaving it open to you, the listener to reinterpret the world around you.
