Since choosing to opt out of attending fashion week in recent years, I've only kept up with the shows peripherally. I'm in place where I'm into real and wearable clothing so much of it doesn't interest me at all. An exception was Celine Spring 2020 which was about as effortlessly stylish and wearable as you can get. Designer Hedi Slimane created a reprisal of Celine circa 1970's when the brand was at the height of Parisienne chic. And the streamlined, timeless looks he sent down the runway had a fresh yet rather systematic feel of classic components that make up a very cool wardrobe including an array of outerwear and blazers, bootcut jeans, blouses, skirts and dresses. Even if you can't afford Celine, this is a collection that is very easy to take style cues from. It really speaks to my tomboy meets granny aesthetic though I prefer a touch more color. Blazers paired with jeans and a top with cool details is one of my style uniforms and I love midi dresses paired with knee high boots.
