  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 2 tablespoons dry fruits powder (we have used our my little moppet’s dry fruits powder which is free from preservatives and additives)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • A pinch of salt (only for babies above 1 year)

Instructions:

  • Wash the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for about 20 minutes. Drain the water and set the rice aside.
  • Heat ghee in a cooker. Once it’s hot, add grated carrots and sauté for a few minutes until they become soft.
  • Add the rice and sauté for another 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Pour in the milk and add the dry fruits powder to the cooker. Mix everything well.
  • If you want to add a pinch of salt for flavor, you can do so at this point. However, it’s optional, and can be added only for toddlers.
  • Add 2 cups of water to the cooker, and give it a good stir.
  • Close the cooker with its lid and cook on a low flame. Let it cook for three whistles.
  • Once the cooker cools down and the pressure is released, open it carefully.
  • Fluff the carrot dry fruits rice with a fork, ensuring the carrots, dry fruits, and rice are evenly mixed.
