Depending on what the vehicles CO2 emissions the first time it gets registered then that will be the rate that you will have to pay on your car tax. It applies to all cars and some motorhomes. If your motorhome includes its CO2 emissions are included on the ‘type approval certificate’, this might be called a ‘certificate of conformity’ or ‘individual vehicle approval’ or if your motorhome is in the M1SP category (for this you would need to check with the dealer if you are unsure) then the tax would apply to you.

Any vehicles, if it is a car or a motorhome, with a list price of more than £40,000 then you will have to pay an extra £310 a year. You would only have to pay this rate for 5 years.
