This Sabre is part of the fine collection at the Yanks Air Museum.   The classic Sabre was armed with six 0.50in M3 Browning machine guns, three on each side of the nose.  1,600 rounds of ammunition were carried into combat, firing at a rate of 1,200 rounds oer minute.  1948, the Canadian government decided to re-equip the RCAF with the F-86 Sabre with Canadair contracted to produce them in Montreal, Canada.  The Canadair Sabre Mk.6 was the final variant and was considered to be the “best” production Sabre ever built.  With a top speed of 710mph, the Canadian Sabres were faster than the US models. The first production model was completed on 2 November 1954 and ultimately 655 were built with production terminating on 9 October 1958.  This Sabre flew into Chino in June 2004 to become a part of Yank collection.  Nikon D71000 w/18-200mm.
