With recent terrorist attacks at Parliament Hill, Canadian Forces have been improving country’s defensive power. In their latest attempt to introduce a “smart” rifle to its weapon collection, Colt Canada has unveiled a weird next-generation rifle with quite an unusual design.
Developed with the Canadian Forces through the Soldier Integrated Precision Effects Systems (SIPES) project, the new weapon is a bullpup type gun, which loads magazine from the back of the gun.
The main part of the gun features a 5.56 mm rifle and the other part can be customized to fit either a three round 40 mm grenade launcher, or a 12-gauge shotgun.
