Today is Day 3 of my week of Canada Day crafts.  Hope you're not bored yet.  We got another 2 days to go.  Sorry to my American friends.   Here are the past two projects: Canada Day Bunting Canada Day Tea Towel

Since I'm such a fan of easy and cute home decor, I have another one today. With 3 small frames and some paper I created Canadian flag framed art.

I was thinking of creating some wood block art, but I had these shadow boxes lying around that I've had for years.

And since I had three of them.  They worked perfectly for what I had planned.

I took them apart and traced the paper backing onto red and white cardstock.

Then I traced and cut out my maple leaf template onto the red cardstock.

Glued the maple leaf shape onto the center of the white cardstock piece.

Then placed the red pieces in two of the frames.

And the leaf in the other.   Done.

Place them on a shelf together and you got instant Canada flag art!

Doesn't it make my hutch look so festive?

It's so great that red and white are already my kitchen colors!!
