We’ve purposely not mentioned the London Olympics (mostly) here on TechDrink as we don’t want to be seen to be jumping on the linkbait bandwagon. Sure, there’s a case for a post-event round up and we may well do that, but until today, we took the decision to steer clear. Then Google went and produced their latest Google Doodle and ruined any chance of us getting any real work done for the forseeable!
If you watched Team GB’s Dai Greene fail in the 400 metre hurdles last night and thought “I could do better than that” then…well, then you’d be wrong, but you can at least have a go of sorts when you visit Google’s homepage today.
The spectacularly addictive Hurdles Doodle will have you trying to beat your best time for hours. Seriously. Hours. Personally, I’m struggling to break 12 seconds as I hit at least one damn hurdle. Yes, I realise that’s poor and you will no doubt smash the 12 second barrier…but hey, I’m a writer not an athlete!
Visit google.co.uk (or whatever happens to be your Google of choice) and have a go…let me know just how fast you get it done too. Give me something to aim for…
