Cameron Diaz is an American actress born 30 August 1972 in San Diego, California, to Billie Joann (Early), an import-export agent, and Emilio Diaz, who worked for an oil company. She rose to stardom with roles in The Mask (1994), Diaz began modeling when she was 16 years old. Her successful modeling career took her to Japan, Australia, Morocco and Paris, among other locales. Díaz received four Golden Globe Award nominations for her performances in Being John Malkovich.
