Call of Duty DLC deal was 'almost a no-brainer', says Sony
Signing a deal with Activision to launch future Call of Duty content on PlayStation platforms first "was almost a no-brainer", PlayStation Europe boss Jim Ryan has said.
"Our greatest achievement from the Call of Duty announcement? It didn't leak," Ryan explained in the latest issue of MCV. "It's a fantastic IP and it was almost a no-brainer to do the deal."
Sony revealed that it had snagged the deal to launch Black Ops 3's DLC first on PlayStation last week, following years of an exclusivity partnership between Microsoft and Activision.
The deal means that all future add-on content for Call of Duty will launch first on PS4 and PS3, before hitting Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC 30 days later.
