From Hearthstone Brewery in North Vancouver comes their "Cali Common". A California Common is made with a lager yeast at Ale temperatures. The beer pours a straw yellow colour with an off white head. The aroma consists of citrus, grain, sweetness and floral hops. The flavour is of grain, caramel almost bready malts, citrus, herbal and mild bitterness. The alcohol content comes in at 5.3% with an IBU of 33. The California Common style is definitely a more flavourful lager and this one delivers on that promise.
