Peru, Indiana

It’s no surprise that with an emphasis on fresh and flavorful, and only a block away  from the downtown square, it is the local hangout.

This menu is superb. You’ll find a good variety at this mom and pop restaurant. It’s definitely worth a stop!

I couldn’t decide (as usual). It all sounded great!

Should I get the Hot Ham, Chevre, and Honey Panini or maybe the Quich du Jour made with locally sourced eggs? Hubs claimed “dibs” on the White Panini, a turkey, mozzarella cheese, red onion panini topped with garlic and Parmesan cheese!

Since it was such a hot day (and we’d been walking around everywhere) I went with a salad. Not just any salad but the Bistro Salad! A lovely blend of spring greens topped with cranberries, pecans, goat cheese, red onions, and tomatoes.

For those of you who were wondering: I do not tell anyone I am little Indiana until after the meal is over. I want to make sure that what I get? Is what you get!

At Cafe du Cirque, let me tell you what–this was pretty food!

Our server saw me taking photos and said that so many people come through and take pictures of their food because it looks so good! Small town explorer or not, this Miami County restaurant dishes out food that looks as good as it tastes.

There’s a reason why locals love Cafe du Cirque–for the food! I’m sure the charming atmosphere with the sunny yellow paint and the original 100 year old (gorgeous!) fireplace mantle doesn’t hurt either.

Books scattered near a big comfy chair invite you to sit a spell. With that sort of invitation, who can resist? I certainly couldn’t–and you shouldn’t either!
