Social sharing and scheduling service, Buffer got hacked just a few hours ago, and has flooded users’ connected Twitter and Facebook accounts with a load of spam messages. Due this inconvenience, Buffer had to halt their services for a few hours.

Buffer users don’t have to worry about changing their passwords or payment details because Buffer team has confirmed that those data are safe. “Not everyone who has signed up for Buffer has been affected, but you may want to check on your accounts,” Buffer founder Joel Gascoigne wrote on a blog post.

After a few hours of hard work, Buffer team has “increased security” and “deployed a fix.” So, it’s safe to use Buffer again. Although, you should probably check your Facebook and Twitter accounts to remove any spam messages posted on your behalf.
