You know I am all about shopping my own closet. And this year, I plan to incorporate even more pieces from my existing closet. While I have shopped just a little bit over the holidays, the basics are all from my own closet, mixed in with some statement pieces collected over the years. For the New Year's first outfit, I wore my most priced sweater with balloon sleeves and pearl details around the collar and sleeves. Unfortunately, it is sold out but that's what makes it a priced possession ;)
We went for New Year's Day brunch at Alhambra at St. Regis. The experience was everything we had expected and more. The restaurant is tucked away in the back, through the lobby. Their bottomless brunch buffet puts all other establishments serving brunch to shame. They offer a cornucopia of delicious seafood options, bite-size quiche treats, an exquisite dessert bar, and extravagant a la carte plates. While I went with French Toast (no points for guessing) other dishes which were ordered at the table were Lobster Benedict, and Roissni Steak. Everything was delicious. The service was impeccable. If you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just have a delicious hearty meal, I would high recommend this restaurant. Alhambra at St. Regis / 923 16th St NWWashington, DC 20006
