This story has three different endings. Each of the three stories have the same beginning but a different point of view in each scenarios.
The bruised knuckles surprised everyone. People were sympathetic. Dry skin does look really painful, he says. And this happening to the nicest guy in the team – the one who is always smiling and nice to everyone. That created an additional impact to everyone. Suggestions for a good hand lotion, ice packs etc. kept coming to him. He just smiled and listened to everyone, even tried on some products that were thrust into his hands. Everyone around were discussing him.
Someone somewhere had his name on their lips, too. When his colleagues or friends praise him for his kind disposition, she would always smile and accept the compliments. Yes, she is indeed very lucky to have such a nice and kind husband. They could never know… They would never know… Certain things are best unsaid.
With a quiet sob and a withdrawn sigh, she applied makeup on her bruises and cringed when it hurts. Yesterday was just another day. Since her face is always unharmed and she always makes sure she is covered from neck to toes, outsiders never knew the monster that lived inside the house with her.
