Brooks Brothers just launched a sale on seasonal suits, footwear, and accessories. Spring and summer suits are now $450, while footwear and accessories have been discounted by 30%. That’s 5% more than what they usually give through their mid-season Friends & Family promotion.
Some notables:
- Boots: These shell cordovan boots have long been some of my favorite shoes. You can wear them with everything from flannel trousers and tweed sport coats to jeans and bomber jackets. I also really like this suede option.
- Penny Loafers: Lots of penny loafers on sale, such as these two in pebble grain, as well as a low vamp model. Even the Red Fleece line — which is typically a bit trendy — has something that looks classic and well made.
- Tie Loafers: A refined tie loafer you can wear with casual summer suits and sport coats. I have the brown suede ones, but they also come in a slightly pebbled leather.
- Wingtips: Classic wingtips in suede and pebbled grained leather. The first can be worn year-round while the second is best reserved for the colder months.
- Umbrellas: Brooks Brothers’ umbrellas are an excellent value. They’re not as detailed as those from Fox Umbrellas or Mario Talarico, but they’re well-made and handsomely styled. I like the tartan versions, but black is more versatile.
- Belts: Also a great value are Brooks Brothers’ dress belts (the simply styled ones, anyway). I wear these for their slightly shaped buckle.
- Hats: Lastly, there are some hats from Lock & Co on sale. Just in time for summer.
