Broken Bells Cover the Beatles on Letterman [video]

Broken Bells played a very special set on the Late Show with David Letterman this past Monday night. Danger Mouse’s Brian Burton and The Shins’ James Mercer played “And I Love Her” by The Beatles, and were accompanied by none other than an old television set. Actually, Broken Bells played The Beatles tune over a looped sample of Ringo Starr laying down a groove for “I Am the Walrus” while the television played nostalgic footage of Ringo at his drums. Clever!
