This is just another Kickstarter project that made success in just a couple days after launching the project. Kano is “A computer anyone can make and a coding kit for all ages” which allows users to build their own affordable Raspberry Pi-like computer at only $99 USD.  The project has already raised over $700k within less than a week and it’s way past its’ $100k funding goal.

The Kano kit consists of a Raspberry Pi computer board and set of various accessories including a Kano Keyboard, Custom case, DIY Speaker, Kano OS and Levels on 8GB SD card, and many more.

This is a great setup to teach kids a lesson about technology and encourage them to learn code and how computers are made, instead of giving them a thousand-dollar MacBook with pre-installed everything. Also, I think it could be a great X-mas present as well.

Apparently, you can build this computer in just 107 seconds. Check it out in the video.
