Breakfast Bars

These yummy Breakfast Bars have no added sugar – just natural sugars from honey and dried fruits.

I love adding hidden goodness to my baking! This time I used mixed seeds.

The added extra of fresh lemon zest and the juice of the lemon gives that extra zing to the bar without being over powering.

I love making healthy treats for the kids specially when I’ve made the treats at home knowing exactly what has gone into the bars.

I have called these breakfast bars but you could have them any time – lunch box treat, afternoon snack with a cuppa or even as a late night munch snack.

Ingredients
200g Honey
250g butter
250g muesli
200g oats
1 lemon
50g cranberry
75g sultana
75g mixed seeds

Add luxury muesli, oats and lemon zest to a bowl

Add sultanas, cranberries, mixed seeds and lemon juice.

Melt honey and butter in a pan

Add the honey butter to the granola mix

Stir well

Pour into a greased baking tray

Press down the mixture evenly

Bake at 170c for 25 minutes until slightly golden.

Allow to cool and slice into smaller pieces.
