Ingredients:
Bread slices : 4
Milk : 1 cup
Sugar: 3-4 tsp or to taste
Cardamom Powder : a pinch
Saffron threads : 7-8
For stuffing
Khoya or mawa : 2 tbspRose water : 1 tsp
Pistachios (finely chopped) : 1 tsp + for garnish
Almonds (finely chopped) : 1 tsp
Cashewnuts (finely chopped) : 1 tsp
Method:
1. Cut the bread into round shape with the help of a katori or round cookie cutter. Keep aside.
2. In a non-stick pan, take milk add sugar, cardamom powder and 4-5 saffron threads. Cook till milk is reduced to half.
3. In another bowl prepare the stuffing. Take khoya add rose water and all the dry fruits.
4. Dip bread slices into plain milk, press it gently to remove extra milk. Put the stuffing (step#3) and roll it to make balls.
5. Put the bread balls into fridge for 5-10 mins.
6. Take the bread balls out of fridge, pour the milk mixture (step#2).
7. Garnish with pistachios and saffron threads.
8. Serve chill.
