GOSH is a brand I rarely use if I'm honest. I always head for Maybelline or L'oreal when I'm at the drugstore so I was definitely looking forward to trying out some products from GOSH when they came popping on through my mailbox.
First off is the Velvet Matte lipstick in shade 'Nougat' which is a brown nude color. Because this is a velvet finish, it looks matte without necessarily feeling matte. Matte lipsticks are renowned for being drying but this is actually a really comfortable and wearable formula.
Moving on to the Primer oil essence. This has claims of being the perfect pre-foundation product. I don't normally bother priming my skin, I use a moisturiser now and again before applying but that's normally it because I worry about oily patches. This has a pippette. You all know how much I love a pippette, so I was pretty pleased with this upon opening the bottle. Literally two drops were enough to cover my entire face and it sunk into my skin within a minute or two. I didn't really notice a huge difference in how long my foundation lasted, but it did give a good even base for applying my makeup.
Speaking of Foundation, The Foundation+ is a full coverage foundation. I was really not expecting to find such a good, full coverage from Gosh so I was pleasantly surprised. A small amount goes a long way, but you need to work quickly with it. This is definitely not the kind of foundation that you can dot all over your face and blend as you go. It sets quickly. As far as finish goes, this has a velvet finish which means it looks almost matte but not flat. You will need a good powder to team with this to avoid product transferring (especially if you're like me and are living in high neck tops right now). This also contains Seaweed which is an AMAZING skincare ingredient.
Finally, is my favorite of all the items - the Brow Sculpting Gel. The brush head on this is TINY. Imagine the bottom lash mascara from Clinique and you've got the idea. This has a definite 'colour'. Most brow products are thin and provide little pigmentation. This is highly pigmented and could probably be used on my brows alone. One thing I don't love about this, is how much product gathers on the wand. It can be a bit too much but wiping some on the bottle before applying does the trick.
