Bran flake cookies you say? Why yes a bit of healthyness in something not natively healthy. Adding lots of extra fiber to these bad boys! A variation of a humingbird recipe.
40g Bran Flakes
25g Butter melted
10g Sugar
1/4 tsp salt
Hand crush the bran flakes into smaller pieces and add sugar and salt. Pour in the melted butter and stir covering all the flakes with butter.
Spread onto a baking tray and bake in the oven for about 10-12mins at 170c.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly, keep the oven on.
115g Butter (Soften)
175g Light Brown Sugar
1 Egg
200g Plain Flour
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
100g Chocolates ( I used pink pigs and chocolate coins)
Cream together the butter and sugar.
Add the egg, flour, salt, vanilla and baking powder and soda.Chop up the chocolate roughly.Add the chocolate and bran flakes into the batter and mix in.
Using a small scoop, dolop batter onto a baking tray.
Bake for 10-11mins at 170c and allow to cool for 2-3 mins before lifting onto a baking rack.
Enjoy these yummy slightly healthier version of chocolate chip cookies.
