Here are some of my recent go to favorites:
HuffPost Wedding is a niche wedding site from Huffington Post most of it's content is news focused wedding/marriage stories as well as fun takes on the usual marriage and wedding related woes. This recent post on what music not to play at your wedding is pretty funny and probably good advice.
Hey Look Oy is a Helsinki (Helsinki as in Finland) based event design firm that has lots of great photos for space inspiration. My favorite part of the site is if you click on their blog, which is also really helpful, there is an inspiration by color box which will take you to different events organized by color.
I'm lovin' lovin' the navy!

Since my sophomore year of college I've been an avid reader of the New York Times Sunday edition. When I get the paper in my hands I make a bee line for the Style section which is home to Wedding and Celebrations. For those of you not familiar it's a feature story each week about two people and their love story that took them to the alter. I love reading about all the different types of people both young and old of every race and religion and their stories of love-- it's just good for the heart. This week was Letty Brown and Jan Novak, check it out.
I'm also having fun checking out DIY sites for inspiration and motivation to do some of my own wedding decorations and other details.
Oh Happy Day has some really fun DIY projects and several free downloadable temples for you to use. I am sort of obsessed with the two projects below which can be found in their DIY section.
The veggie boats are super cute, healthy and a really fun foodie detail and for any party.

This giant crepe paper garland is so big and full and I think it would really bring a great burst of color to any space. Here's how to create this lovely decoration.

Here's a little DIY trick I came up with all by myself. While brainstorming color combinations for my wedding I needed a little visual help so I went to my local hardware store and got a bunch of paint swatches. I laid them out on the coffee table and began playing with different color combos. It was actually really fun, easy and best of all free.
Colleen's paint swatch idea. Please steal and pass along
I'll be back with a more new sites in a couple of weeks, until then happy web surfing.
