Book Sharing Monday:Shel Silverstein

Last week I mentioned how much Defne enjoys rhyming. Following her lead, we are introducing her to poetry.We have these beautiful books by Shel Silverstein: The Giving Tree and Where the Sidewalk Ends. I can't seem to find the words to describe Silverstein's poetry. It is touchingly beautiful both for adults and  for children,too.Defne is a confident reader now and I LOVE how she chooses these books from the shelf and sits down to read them in her reading nook.  You can read The Giving Tree here.
