ITS REVIEW TIME!
When We WakeBy Karen Healey
Wow. This book was epic, I didn't really expect much of it, and I really judged it before reading it and I shouldn't have. First as I read it, I thought after she woke up from a FREAKING CRYOGENIC SLEEPING CHAMBER after being shot to death and being resurrected 100 years into the future, it was this hardcore, fast-paced dystiopian. Then as I got more into it, I was like,"Awwww, she's trying to adapt to the future." And there future was CRAZY. The slang, the computers, the military, what everyone had done to the world! It was...Woah. Made me scared for how things are now. Like REALLY SCARED. It was though-provoking and just all around intriguing. It was really, REALLY different from many things I've read recently and I was blown away.
As reading these reviews on Goodreads, it does remind me of Across The Universe a bit. AND I LIKE THAT! You don't see books like that very often and this book wasn't copying it by any means, just recreating it.
And the romance, OH THE ROMANCE, IT WAS A LITTLE, BUT IT WAS THE BEST AND SO WORTH IT. I WAS WAITING FOR SO LONG FOR IT TO HAPPEN, TOO. The characters were just fighting it and it was like: POW KISS! And then it happened. I have also read The Shattering by Karen Healey and it was splendid, so if you get the chance...You know....Check it out.
Butter By Erin Jade Lange
Oh god, let me wipe the freaking tears from my face from just writing this review. I can't even... Just wow. This book is perfection. It was real and true to itself. It wasn't over the top and nothing it didn't claim to be. It was short, quick and a freaking train wreck in a good way. Or was that just me being a train wreck? Anyways this is a book you need to read before you die because it's just that damn good.
If you didn't like it, suck it.
If that's not a review in itself to get you to read the book,
YOU NEED JESUS!
Delirium Stories: Hana, Annabel & Raven: A Novella By Lauren Oliver
H,R,A stands for Hana, Annabel and Raven for the idiots out there.I am getting tired of Delirium because it's pulled me in so many different ways and this novella just really....really....made me tired. The surprises were fantastic, I mean, I won't tell you because that would be bad. And NO ONE likes bad people, but there's something less interesting about Delirium now, I'm not really excited to read Requiem. Out of Hana, Annabel and Raven, I'd have to say Annabel's POV was my favorite to read because I was really interested to know about her.
You really don't get to know about Lena's mother. But my favorite character would have to be Hana. I say this because of the fact that I didn't really like reading from Hana's POV, but its bearable because I love Hana. I missed her character a lot, but after finishing it. I am highly disappointed. The most shocking however was Raven. Raven's story wasn't that interesting AT ALL, and I didn't really get into it until the last few pages. Which is sad, but this is my first experience with a novella, so that's probably why.
I don't really get why its there and why they made, can someone explain this too me?
Or not...
I need to go to bed. I'm tired even though I have no life. But its okay, TUMBLR IS MY LIFE.
Bye.
