BOOK BLURB: When Love Happens

True love never dies. It is redefined every time you feel it. When Nish falls in love, little does he know the impact it is going to have on his life? Hailing from conservative backgrounds, love is nothing less than war with the world for the lover and his beloved. Albeit limited communication, they still dare to dream of a life together. But with the pressure of attaining stability in life, he finds it impossible to chase his dreams endlessly.

An unassuming man from a modest background, he fights helplessness and challenges thrown at him by life, only to learn precious life lessons. His faith in God gives him the strength to move on and find his calling in writing and poetry. When Love Happens… is a tale of shattered dreams and redemption, of fear and fortitude and above all, of the indomitable human will.

BOOK REVIEW: When Love Happens

When love happens by Manish Kumar is a romantic inspirational one. When you look at its cover, you find a boy and a girl standing at the shore of the sea and a book kept open in front of them. The boy looks more like the real-life Manish Kumar and the cover is a lot dark and gives negative vibes and I don’t find it catchy.

The story seems to be the real-life story of the author. The way he has arranged the plot, it seems he just shared the experiences of his life. The story starts with a small boy who is a student of class 11. He falls in love with his classmate named ‘’G”. Yes her name is stated as G throughout the novel and this particular thing makes it obvious that the story belongs to the author himself. He approaches the girl and she accepts him.

They chat through chits and letters. Later in the story, when the boy is unable to crack major engineering exams and get admission into a private college away from his village. In the story, they meet a lot of time and gets apart again and again for some reasons. They belong to a village which is too conservative and it’s hard to avoid people and rumors.

By the end of the novel, the girl has to get married to someone else and the boy finds himself in chaos. He decides to work hard to become something he wants to be.  So, from a love tale to an inspirational story, the author shares all the experiences of his life. Apart from it, the books seem like it has not been proofread even once. There are lots of lots of confusions I faced while I was read it. Timings told by the author at many instances is confusing.

The book is just OKAY for me. If you have read a lot of romance fictions, you will find it boring and annoying.
