While scrolling through the inquisitive side of mine, I stumbled across a subject called Anthropology. It’s a systematic, scientific study of humans and human behavior spread through the color full spectrum of societies over a period of time counting to date. So, this led me to buy a book which is the number 1 seller on Amazon called “Sapiens: A brief history of mankind.”

As soon as I opened the book I realized how encyclopedic and intriguing the book is. Here is what I think of this book:

It all starts with how the author assumes us all to be living in a world-wide economy system and basically how it governs our life management. The use of a storyline as to how events took place around the globe which led to substantial development of human culture and psyche, is what I enjoyed throughout.
The vivid part of the book is where the author narrates through the story of the Mongols, the Chinese, the Dutch and all the gunpowder, roses and wine. How the revolutionary wars and peace treaties were made to emboss changes in the world. The biology and botany in the book are beyond the common man’s acceptance of general knowledge, at least that’s what I like to call it!
Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind talks about the way the society and people with different ideas and ideals emerge to form a community, and how they adapt to the environment yet change and grow from their experiences. The kind of food, houses, and clothing they make and buy while revolving around the ideas of mental psyche and leadership. People are beautiful, cultures are astonishing and the world is a warm house for them!
It does sometimes get a little boring, but some action and enthusiasm alongside beauty and calm are just around the end of the page you’re on. It keeps you involved and mostly amused while building very deep and accessible knowledge for your own psyche.
So, if you’re somebody who’s keen on gaining knowledge, loves history and psychology with the touch of scientific management of human lives and the whole world rather, you will love the book.
Moreover, each and every sentence and the visual it creates is just astounding. However, if you’re someone who doesn’t like to hoop in the details or is not into the scientific realm and arts of society, I’d say give it a pass. Overall, it’s been fun as well as informational read.
