Plot & Book Review

Vidyut, the protagonist of the story who is an entrepreneur & runs a successful company receives a call from Banaras. Vidyut’s dying ancestor summons him to Banaras. His character is quite strong, impressive and hence, grip the reader from the beginning.

The story becomes even interesting when Vidyut leaves for Banaras after telling his wife that he is half-human, half-God. He was supposed to never to return Kashi, but now his great-grandfather/grandmaster/ Dwarka Shastri is on his deathbed and calls out to meet him. He says, “Now with me gone, they (the killers or the antagonists) will come for you.” in a voice which has got the traces of fear.

The entire story is based on mysteries and actions of the past & present which are wrapped in various secrets making it more interesting throughout. Also, spanning over 3700 years, this story is of ancient Harappa to the modern day Kashi which seems a roller coaster ride you will enjoy completely.

Also, you will find yourself travelling through a saga of deceit and violence, gods and demons, love and ambition as the story progresses. It won’t be easy for me to actually review the entire storyline as the book is incomplete being part of a series. I am eagerly awaiting the next part of this series of four books.

I am more of a person who reads inspirational fiction, but I do indulge in the genres out of my comfort zone. Also, I am looking out to read more of this sort of books now. Hence, I highly recommend you to read the book if you love reading mysteries, thriller novels and historical fictions.
