As ghosts of the distant past return to haunt him and the line between friends and enemies blurs, Ashwatthama must fight his inner demons to emerge victoriously. He undertakes a perilous journey—across the vast plains of the Ganges, to the snow-capped peaks of the Himavant where the price of failure is a fate worse than death and death is a privilege not granted to Ashwatthama.
Is this all part of Lord Krishna’s great plan? Will Ashwatthama be able to regain his lost glory?
BOOK REVIEW: Ashwatthama’s Redemption: The Rise of Dandak
I love reading books with a religious or spiritual touch and that has some sort of thrill & adventure. Ashwatthama’s Redemption: The Rise of Dandak, a mythological fiction is one such piece of literature. I completed this book in 4 sittings and it has become one of my personal favorites.
So, the book basically focuses on the story of Ashwatthama (Guru Dronacharya’s son) as the title and the book cover states clearly. He is on the road to healing. He sets on a journey across the vast plains of the Ganges, to the snow-capped peaks of the Himavant to regain his lost glory and to fight his inner demons after having cursed by Lord Krishna. So, will Ashwatthama be able to find redemption? (Read the book to know it.)

This book is fast-paced and I was gripped from the first chapter itself. The story is quite powerful and full of adventures. I was completely engaged throughout the book and didn’t feel bored even for a minute. I loved author’s writing style and the narration is just perfect as per the genre.
Overall, I would love to read more by the author in future and I highly recommend this book especially if you are an Indian mythology fiction lover. You will definitely enjoy reading this book. This is my first book by the author and definitely not the last one after reading it.
