Saw this lengthy Dreamliner taxiing after landing in Honolulu. The 787-10 model, stretched 18 feet to carry 336 passengers, was envisioned as replacing Boeing 777-200 and Airbus A340-500 aircraft. First flown in 2107, 98 have been delivered so far with United operating 21. This Dreamliner shows the new livery revealed in April 2019, the first new livery since United and Continental merged, comprising three different blues, which United describes as Rhapsody Blue, United Blue, and Sky Blue. By utilizing the same wing as the 787-9, the -10 employs software to maintain flight stability. As of December 2023, 9% of all 787 orders are for the 787-10.
