I love new music! You do, too? Okay! Indie rock icon Kim Gordon has teamed up with the brilliant Bill Nace to form Body/Head, a duo who are about to disburse some next level noise-pop with their debut that anyone would be lucky to drone out to. Chicago’s baron of blues/soul sorcery, Willis Earl Beal, presents us with his second full-length this week. Nobody Knows finds Beal ditching the karaoke machine for a proper studio, resulting in a clean, crisp, (but still sexy!) sound.

Miami’s Jacuzzi Boys are back with their third garage rock record this week, sounding super chill and hazed-out, as if it were recorded during shady breaks from the beach. Also in the dirty rock arena is NYC’s Forest Fire who are also back with their third this week. Screens is full of muddy rock jams with touches of rainbow synths, definitely making for an interesting sound that you need to hear.

Ok, get to a dancefloor for these releases. Summer Camp releases their second, very dancey synth-pop record for guaranteed good 80s vibes. Spain’s Delorean is back again after three years with their latest, this time focusing on production aspects of their dance music for a “bigger”, sleeker sound. On another end of the dance spectrum are metallic band, Factory Floor, finally here with their debut after 2 long years spent honing their industrial techno sound.

The Stepkids drop their sophomore this week, a record bursting with throwback ecstasy. Their blend of classic jazz, R&B, funk, and pop is something you need in your ears. Another band that manages to pull styles together magically is Man Man, gifting us with a shiny “new rhythmic ideas” that are being met with rave reviews.

Lastly is ARMS’ EP2, a band you already know we adore. Their garage pop charm is meant to be blared — don’t sleep on these guys!
